Capillary appendages

Hair appendages comprise the various hair-bearing structures found on the body, such as eyelashes, eyebrows and body hair. They fulfil both protective and aesthetic roles. Eyelashes in particular help protect the eyes from external particles, while eyebrows contribute to facial expression and protect against perspiration. Body hair also serves several biological functions. Learn more here about the different hair appendages.
