At Typology, every formula is designed around what matters. Fewer ingredients, carefully chosen. No filler, no empty promises. If a component serves no clear purpose — active, texturizing, or stabilizing — it has no place in the formula. No fragrance, no colorant.
This minimalism directly benefits your skin. Fewer ingredients means a lower risk of allergic reactions or irritation, improved tolerance — including for sensitive skin — and the certainty of knowing exactly what you are applying, and why.
What we refuse.
European regulation already prohibits over 1,300 ingredients in skincare. We go further. Our blacklist is among the strictest in the industry. It excludes numerous substances that remain legally permitted, whenever doubt exists regarding their safety for health or the environment: CMR substances, suspected endocrine disruptors, allergens and irritants, ecotoxic ingredients, and animal-derived components.
This precautionary principle applies to every raw material we use. If new scientific data calls the safety of an ingredient into question, we add it to our exclusion list.
What we require.
Naturalness. Our formulas contain a minimum of 80% naturally derived ingredients (ISO 16128). The majority exceed 90%. Several of our treatments are certified organic under the COSMOS Organic standard.
Safety. Every ingredient list is verified before approval. We prioritize actives sourced from organic agriculture, extracted through gentle techniques, without controversial solvents.
Transparency. Full INCI lists are accessible on every product page. The role of each ingredient is detailed. On our concentrated serums, the exact concentration of key actives is stated.
100% made in France. 100% vegan.
Our R&D laboratory is based in Paris. From research to production, everything is formulated, designed and manufactured in France, with our in-house formulators and partner laboratories.
As a vegan brand, we use no animal-derived ingredients. All of our products carry the PETA "Animal test-free and vegan" label — no animal testing, in Europe or internationally.
Formulating with less means refusing the unnecessary. Demanding more means never compromising on what you apply to your skin.
