In which products can we find caffeine?

Caffeine is considered the benchmark active ingredient in certain skincare products, not a cosmetic that incorporates caffeine into its formula. Discover all the treatments that contain it.

A few words on caffeine.

Coffee beans, tea leaves, cocoa beans, kola nuts... caffeine is renowned as a psychoactive molecule that accelerates the functioning of the central nervous system and cardiovascular system, particularly useful for increasing energy levels and providing a boost upon waking. However, these benefits do not stop there, as it also brings numerous virtues in topical application.

  • Antioxidant: it protects the skin against free radicals and thus aids in slowing down the skin ageingprocess. It therefore helps to delay the formation of premature wrinkles.

  • Anti-inflammatory: it also aids in reducing the visible effects of inflammation (redness) and in soothing any other discomfort sensations that sensitive skin may experience.

  • Draining, stimulating: it is particularly known for improving microcirculation of the blood, notably by tightening the capillaries and increasing blood flow, two circulatory properties that could decongest the area of the eye contour. As a result of its action, puffiness fades and dark circles are visibly reduced.

  • Lipolytic: due to its small size, it is believed to "burn" accumulated fats by breaking down the triglycerides stored in adipocytes into free fatty acids, which are easier to eliminate. In other words, it helps to reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Caffeine: In which skincare products?

Thanks to its numerous properties that it guarantees, caffeine has become a popular ingredient in the composition of skincare products. Whether it's for the skin of the face, body, or even for the hair, caffeine finds its place in various types of care.

  • Anti-cellulite treatments.

Employed for its lipolytic action mechanism in emulsion or gel-based cosmetics, it is widely used to locally combat cellulite. Buttocks, hips, abdomen... it aids in eliminating dimples and reducing the bumpy orange peel appearance by stimulating the breakdown of fats stored in adipocytes.

  • Eye contour care.

By acting on the walls of the blood vessels, caffeine has the ability to drain water with regular use, particularly around the eye contour where it tends to accumulate. This is a solution that can be proposed to reduce puffiness. Furthermore, it helps to stimulate blood circulation and thus restore radiance to the eye contour area by effectively diminishing the appearance of dark circles.

  • Skincare to prevent skin ageing.

With its antioxidant action, it helps to slow down the appearance of wrinkles. Creams, serums... skincare products containing caffeine will help to combat free radicals, thereby preserving the elasticity and firmness of the skin.

  • Care to prevent excessive hair loss.

By stimulating microcirculation of the blood, caffeine can even act on the scalp, at the level of the hair follicles. Whether in shampoo or hair serum, it helps to strengthen the hair fibre and slow down hair loss by extending the growth phases of the hair.

Caffeine: our various treatments containing it.

Stimulating, antioxidant, decongesting... its numerous beneficial effects, scientifically recognised, have made caffeine (INCI name: Caffeine) extremely popular in the field of cosmetics. It is for these reasons that we have decided to incorporate it into our formulas. Here is our selection of caffeine-based skincare products.

  • Formulated around caffeine (5%), the eye serum for all skin types has a decongesting and vasoconstrictor effect that acts on puffiness and dark circles. This targeted treatment indeed helps to reduce under-eye bags, as well as purplish dark circles. With 87% of ingredients of natural origin, this light, water-based formula also contains silk tree extract (INCI name: Albizia Julibrissin Bark Extract), recognised for its antioxidant and anti-glycation properties. Ophthalmologically tested, it spreads and absorbs easily due to its fluid consistency.

  • Dedicated to the specific area of the eye contour, prone to visible signs of fatigue, thetinted under-eye concealer with a natural effect helps to conceal dark circles and bags, without creasing and without a material effect in 6 shades. High coverage, its fine formula free from animal-derived ingredients is enriched with caffeine and cornflower hydrosol (INCI name: Centaurea Cyanus Flower Water), which delivers anti-fatigue properties to fade dark circles and bags under the eyes over the long term for a unified finish. Result: the dull and tired eye contour is illuminated.

  • The toning body cream offers a dual action: it works both on the support fibres for a lasting firming effect and on the adipocytes to reduce the volume of cellulite. It thus combines caffeine, a reference active ingredient for depleting fat cells and promoting drainage, with theguarana extract (INCI name: Paullinia Cupana Seed Extract) which has a restructuring effect by acting on collagen and elastin fibres. Result: the skin is firmer, more toned and the silhouette is more refined. Non-greasy, non-sticky, its creamy texture is quickly absorbed by the skin, while leaving a delicate coffee fragrance.
