Floral waters possess almost the same properties as essential oils, but are much less concentrated. As a result, they can be used without fear by children and pregnant or breastfeeding women. Depending on the plant used for its production, the floral water can be used on the skin to correct imperfections, perfect cleansing, rebalance the skin's pH, soothe irritations and feelings of discomfort, regulate sebum production or even purify the skin. As floral water is largely composed of water, it does not keep as well as essential oils. It must be protected from light, moisture and heat.

How to choose your hydrosol?
The choice of hydrosol is made based on the skin type and any potential issues to be addressed. Oily skin, which has to deal with overproduction of sebum and the possible appearance of comedones, benefits from witch hazel hydrosol . Indeed, this treatment purifies the skin and helps to eliminate the excess sebum that clogs the pores. As oily skin is generally characterised by enlarged pores, witch hazel hydrosol also helps to tighten them.
If your skin lacks radiance, consider using theorange blossom hydrosol. It revitalises the complexion and stimulates skin regeneration. Rich in flavonoids, the orange blossom hydrosol has antioxidant properties and thus helps to neutralise free radicals, which are responsible for accelerated skin ageing. It also helps to tone devitalised skin.
In the event that your skin is prone to irritation and redness, chamomile hydrosol is recommended. Chamomile is known for its soothing and calming properties.
