Various techniques can help to reduce the signs of skin ageing. Among them, the Oxyface treatment stands out as an innovative approach. What does this method involve? Discover all its benefits here.

Oxyface, this 3-in-1 oxygen facial treatment to rejuvenate the skin.
What is the Oxyface treatment?
The Oxyface treatment is a non-invasive facial procedure designed to combat the signs of ageing. This facial treatment combines three actions: the microneedling, oxygenation, and light therapy. Oxyface uses 90% pure oxygen projected under a bubble. It is designed to brighten and purify the skin, allowing it to regenerate cells. This treatment boosts the production of collagen, a naturally occurring protein that helps maintain supple and elastic skin and reduce the signs of ageing.
By utilising oxygen, Oxyface diminishes spots, wrinkles and fine lines. Indeed, during the skin ageing process, a general reduction in the extracellular matrix is observed, accompanied by a decrease in the number of fibroblasts as well as levels of collagen and elastin. Studies have shown that an optimal supply of oxygen to the skin promotes cell growth and stimulates cell biosynthesis. It results in a radiant and more hydrated skin, as well as a uniform complexion. The quantity of anions produced by the machine is 3,000 times greater than those present in the natural environment, which notably helps to combat oxidative stress.
A study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of a three-step oxygenation treatment. Ten patients, aged between 27 and 61, in good health and not currently undergoing resurfacing treatment, followed this protocol combining exfoliation, infusion, and oxygenation. The results revealed that 9 out of 10 patients noticed softer skin that appeared more youthful, 7 out of 10 observed a slight improvement in wrinkles and fine lines, and 5 out of 10 noted an improvement in skin pigmentation.
However, a larger sample size is required to achieve statistically significant results, and comprehensive research must be conducted to validate these findings.
How does an Oxyface session proceed?
Before starting, a thorough cleansing of the facial skin should be carried out to remove dead cells and impurities that accumulate in the pores. The aim is to promote the penetration of the treatment through the layers of the epidermis.
Microneedling, a stage of skin stimulation.
The practitioner first carries out microneedling. This involves using a device equipped with small needles to create micro-perforations in the skin. This technique stimulates collagen production and promotes cell regeneration, thus improving the texture and elasticity of the skin. At this point, it is also possible to perform an infusion by applying a mask rich in active ingredients.
The oxygenation stage to regenerate cells.
The second step involves the high-pressure spraying of oxygen onto the skin, combined with mesotherapy techniques. During this phase, a jet of pure oxygen is infused at a concentration of 90% directly onto the skin. This helps to stimulate blood circulation, regenerate cells and deeply oxygenate the tissues. Pure oxygen promotes cell repair and toxin elimination, while increasing collagen production, which helps to firm and revitalise the skin.
Light therapy, a final step to target skin imperfections.
The Oxyface concludes with a session of light therapy. Eyes are safeguarded by a mask to shield them from the glare of the lamps. The device in use disperses oxygen and lights with specific wavelengths. It is designed to lessen skin imperfections such as redness, wrinkles, blackheads, and so on.
The Oxyface procedure lasts approximately forty minutes. The results are noticeable immediately after the session. Indeed, by touching your face, you can observe that the skin texture is extremely smooth. To maintain the results, it is recommended to have a session every four to six weeks.
However, it's worth noting that this dermo-aesthetic treatment is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, those suffering from an autoimmune disease or epilepsy, as well as individuals with a skin condition (eczema, cold sore, herpes, psoriasis, etc.)
