Why use a cleansing milk?
The cleansing milk fulfils three main objectives: gently removing skin impurities, whilst preserving the hydrolipidic film and providing hydration to the epidermis. These virtues are particularly appreciated by dry, mature and sensitive skin types, although it can be used by all skin types. Its properties result from a formulation based on a fluid emulsion composed of a phase rich in fatty substances and an aqueous phase.
The presence of the oily phase allows forthe emulsification of makeup residues and various impurities accumulated on the skin throughout the day due to affinity with lipid substances (vegetable oils, fatty alcohols, emulsifiers). The aqueous phase (demineralised water, floral waters, humectants), on the other hand, helps to limit the greasy film sensation often left by creamy textured cleansing products and assists the skin in remaining soft. Furthermore, a cleansing milk can also benefit from soothing and balancing properties.
Guidance on the use of cleansing milk.
To fully benefit from its advantages, it is important to know how to use it correctly. The cleansing milk can be applied to the skin simply using your fingers or with a reusable cotton pad, it all comes down to personal preference.
Using the fingers:
After washing your hands, take a small amount of cleansing milk in the palm of your hand. Warm the texture by rubbing it between your fingers, then apply the milk with your fingertips to the lips, the entire face, and the neck, which should be previously dampened with warm water. Lather the product on the skin by making gentle rotating movements from bottom to top. This technique helps to maintain the tonicity of the tissues, to stimulate the blood microcirculation for a brighter complexion and to prevent skin sagging. Once finished, the residues of the cleansing milk should then be removed either with a makeup remover pad or a washcloth soaked in water, or by rinsing the face with warm water. Then gently dry your face by patting it with a clean towel.
Using a cotton pad:
Dispense a dollop of cleansing milk onto a cotton pad and apply it over the entire face and neck, moving from the centre of the face outwards, without rubbing. Finish by thoroughly rinsing your face with room temperature water or using a damp washcloth to remove excess cleanser, and pat the facial skin dry with a towel.
Note : In the event of water-resistant makeup or sunscreen, precede the cleansing with a makeup remover.
However, when it comes to the eyes, cleansers with a greasy texture are deemed uncomfortable and blamed for leaving a greasy film over the eyes. To avoid this discomfort and gently cleanse your eyes, we recommend using a reusable cotton pad covered with a small amount of cleansing milk. Place it over your closed eyes for a few moments, then make movements in the direction of eyelash growth, that is, from top to bottom, and rinse with warm water. Finally, in all cases, even if it leaves the skin soft and comfortable, always conclude your skincare routine with the application of a moisturising cream suitable for your skin type.
How often should a cleansing milk be used?
Extremely gentle, the cleansing milk can be used daily, morning and evening. In the evening, it helps to rid the facial skin of impurities, pollution particles, residual makeup... However, in the morning, it aids in eliminating dead cells, the sebum produced during the night, as well as the residues of treatments applied the previous day.
The specificities of our facial cleansing milk.
Sulphate-free, fragrance-free, with a silky texture and no greasy finish, our cleansing milk is enriched with organic coconut oil, hyaluronic acid derived from wheat fermentation and organic German chamomile hydrosol, in addition to incorporating gentle, non-drying surfactants, thus a formulation that respects the physiological balance of the skin. This combination of physio-compatible ingredients enhances the softening effect and the regenerative action on the epidermis.
Rich in saturated fatty acids, the presence of thecoconut oil (INCI name: Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil) in the cleansing milk helps to soothe irritated skin during cleansing and provides it with its nourishing virtues. The skin is thus softened, protected and deeply nourished. Thanks to its calming, softening and anti-inflammatory properties, theGerman chamomile floral water (INCI name: Chamomilla Recutita Flower Water) effectively puts an end to redness and the feeling of tight skin after facial cleansing. As for thehyaluronic acid (INCI name: Sodium Hyaluronate), a recognised humectant, it helps to keep the epidermis hydrated by retaining water in the skin, thus preventing episodes of dehydration.
Our hydrating cleansing milk thus allows for the removal of all types of impurities on the skin, while soothing and protecting the epidermis from external aggressions and dehydration. The skin regains its suppleness, tone, and softness, even when cleansed. Although it has been specifically formulated for dry to sensitive skin, it is suitable for all skin types.
