Why should you double cleanse?

The double cleansing method allows for a gentle wash of the skin without causing irritation, which can be the root of numerous skin issues (excessive sebum production, tightness, blemishes, inflammation, etc...). Indeed, by stripping the skin's hydrolipidic film, it can take several hours to reform, leaving the skin vulnerable.

Indeed, double cleansing helps to strengthen and maintain the natural skin barrier by removing impurities that weaken the skin. The products used are non-abrasive and have a pH close to that of the skin. Moreover, removing makeup with fingers is ideal for sensitive skin, as the use of cotton, even washable, can cause feelings of irritation and tightness.

The choice between an oily makeup remover and an aqueous cleanser depends on your skin's needs and both contain active ingredients that effectively work on the skin. At Typology, we offer you the following products:

• The cleansing balm and the cleansing oil have the advantage of enveloping the skin in a non-greasy protective layer, thus avoiding tightness and feelings of discomfort after rinsing with water, a feature highly appreciated by dry and sensitive skin types. Moreover, by mimicking the skin's sebum, oil-based cleansers encourage the skin to produce less sebum, making it a good option for combination to oily skin types;

• The exfoliating cleanser with a gel-like texture allows for deep pore unclogging, reducing the appearance of blemishes, and revealing a radiant and even complexion. Composed among other things of PHA, it thus offers a gentle micro-exfoliation on a daily basis. This facial cleanser also contains aloe vera, an ingredient packed with vitamins, minerals and amino acids, to soothe and repair the skin. Suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin, it is particularly recommended for dull or blemish-prone skin (blackheads, enlarged pores, etc...).

• The purifying gel cleanser helps to sanitise the skin, regulate sebum production and limit the development of blemishes thanks to the purifying active ingredients it contains (zinc PCA, bamboo extract and eucalyptus globulus essential oil), without drying out the skin. It is recommended for combination to oily skin types.

Another advantage of double cleansing is that the active ingredients present in the products, tailored to skin issues, are better absorbed to achieve optimal results, regardless of your skin type.
