Caprylyl glycol is used as a emulsifier in skincare. It promotes the binding of water and oil, thus improving the structure of the skincare product. Capable of limiting the proliferation of microbes, it acts as a preservative agent in skincare formulas. Caprylic acid comes from palm oil, coconut oil or even mammalian milk. A naturally derived ingredient, it presents as a clear and colourless liquid.
What is the utility of "Caprylyl Glycol"?
Thanks to its emollient action, it softens and smoothens the skin. It penetrates deeply into the epidermis and helps to maintain the skin's moisture. It also contributes to rebalancing the skin. Caprylyl glycol is also used as a hair care agent that adds shine to the hair while reducing hair fall.
