Masque hydratant pour les cheveux.

The moisturising hair mask.

For dehydrated hair, it is crucial toapply a hydrating maskonce or twice a week after shampooing and conditioning.

Dehydrated hair, what is it?

A hair is primarily made up of keratin, a hydrophobic fibrous protein. The outer layer that surrounds the hair is called the cuticle. It consists of keratin scales and a fatty lipid film.

It is crucial to distinguish between dry hair and dehydrated hair. These two issues are different. Generally, dry hair lacks lipids or fatty compounds, while dehydrated hair is simply lacking in water.

Dehydrated hair is often due to damaged cuticles that no longer fulfil their protective role: they no longer retain water, which then evaporates excessively. The hair fibres become more sensitive to external aggressions and break more easily. The hair appears dull, tired and loses its shine. It may also have a frothy appearance.

Dehydrated hair is typically caused by intrinsic factors (insufficient overall body hydration, the nature of the hairx...) and/or extrinsic factors (stress, pollution, weather conditions, smoking...).

Hair moisturising mask: the step to adopt for revitalising your hair.

A hydrating mask is a treatment that contains hygroscopic compounds. By binding to the hair fibre, these compounds form a protective layer that smooths the hair cuticle and traps water molecules within the strands to maintain hair hydration. It typically acts immediately on hydration for shiny and tamed hair after treatment, making styling easier. In the cosmetic market, this type of product is generally available in cream or gel textures. It caters to all hair types, even the oiliest, and can be applied several times a week.

Hair hydrating mask, user guide.

A hydrating mask is preferably applied to washed and towel-dried hair. Start by washing your hair with a suitable shampoo. If you have fine hair, lacking in density, our shampoo for volume containing almond protein and biotin strengthens and coats the hair fibre to provide structure and volume to the hair. If you have damaged hair and dry or curly and frizzy hair, opt for the nourishing shampoo composed of a complex of biolipids and camellia oil. It repairs the hair fibre in depth, smooths and fills the hair scales. You can also use our anti-dandruff shampoo if you have flakes on your scalp. Following this, apply a conditioner suitable for your hair type to the lengths.

After wringing out your hair, apply the hydrating mask along the entire length. Allow the treatment to work for the time indicated on the instructions, usually 10 to 20 minutes. This treatment can be used once or twice a week on normal hair. Dry and dehydrated hair can use it more frequently, even after every shampooing.
