Detox Your Body and Take Care of Your Skin After a Party.

The first step in a post-party skin care routine is to eliminate toxins accumulated in the body, particularly those linked to excessive alcohol consumption. In fact, the functioning of certain organs, particularly the liver, is directly linked to the state of our skin.

For an initial digestive detox, opt for a lemon drink or green tea infusion. As for the skin care after the party, the following steps are recommended:

  1. Remove your makeup! Although you are tired, to avoid hangover skin the day after, start your skin care ritual with this essential pre-bedtime step and remove your makeup with the 7-ingredient cleansing oil, whose texture will bring comfort to the skin. It removes makeup and impurities without irritating the skin. It also softens and nourishes the skin, thanks to sweet almond oil, rich in omega-9. If you prefer a balm-oil-milk texture, opt for the cleansing balm with camellia oil. It gently removes makeup from face and eyes. The skin will feel supple, soft and comfortable.

  2. Cleanse your skin. The second step in double cleansing is to use a gentle, superfatted cleanser like our moisturizing cleanser with palmarosa. Cold-saponified, this process allows the plant oils to retain their lipid-replenishing and soothing properties.

  3. Use purifying (hangover) masks. The action of a mask depends on the active ingredients used, as it can deeply purify the skin, help it regenerate, etc. In all cases, the use of a purifying mask is recommended. In all cases, the purpose of a mask is to achieve an even, luminous complexion. In its care range, Typology has developed a purifying charcoal mask, perfect for hangover skin. It purifies the skin without drying it out, regulates sebum production and fights imperfections. It contains sebum-regulating nettle, matifying pine charcoal and purifying green clay.

  4. Hydrate your skin. Alcohol is a diuretic, i.e. a substance that increases urinary secretion. It also promotes exudation. Its consumption thus leads to general dehydration of the body and consequently of skin tissue. When the skin is dehydrated, it's essential to opt for formulas rich in humectant ingredients (glycerine, hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, etc.) that will retain water in the skin's layers. So, after the purifying mask, rebalance skin pH with our moisturizing toner concentrated in hyaluronic acid and aloe vera. Finish your detox routine by applying our plumping serum with polyglutamic acid, followed by our nourishing cream with hyaluronic acid + shea butter.

Exfoliation is the skin care step you could adopt a few days after the party. This type of treatment removes dead skin cells and promotes cell renewal. In other words, it's your ally against a dull, blotchy complexion. The frequency of exfoliation is limited to once or twice a week, using mechanical, chemical or enzymatic exfoliants. If you're looking for an effective, natural mechanical scrub, ourradiance scrub is the option of choice! Enriched with rosehip oil, it refines skin texture. It also contains carrot macerate for a radiant complexion.
