Stinging Nettle Powder

Commonly known as: Urtica Dioica Leaf Extract/Powder (I.N.C.I.).
Botanical name: Urtica dioica.
Extraction process: Grinding of leaves dried in the open air.
Family: Urticaceae.

Phytochemical composition: Mineral salts and trace elements (sulphur, zinc, copper, iron, silica, calcium, potassium, magnesium), vitamins (A, B2, B5, B9, C, E, K), flavonoids, tannins, formic acid, phenolic acids, coumarins, histamine.
Sensorial properties: Appearance: Fine powder; Colour: Yellow to green-brown; Odour: Characteristic.
Physical characteristics: Soluble in water and alcohol; Insoluble in oil; Recommended dosage: 2 - 7% in cosmetic formulations.
Benefits: Purifying, astringent, anti-inflammatory, toning, regenerating, revitalising, sebum-regulating, soothing, firming.
