Kale extract: why should we incorporate it into our skincare routine?
The extract of kale comes from the vegetable known as kale, curly kale, or even borecole. Considered a superfood, kale is rich in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as minerals and fibres. Consuming 60g of kale can meet the recommended daily intake of vitamin C. While containing a high amount of iron, protein, and omega-3, kale is also rich in beta-carotene.
Thanks to its nutritional qualities, kale is a true ally for health. However, originating from the United States, this vegetable is not easy to find in France. Furthermore, the leaves of kale need to be massaged for about thirty minutes before they can be consumed. While it may be difficult to incorporate it into your diet, you can reap its benefits through various treatments. Indeed, it has become a common ingredient in skincare, nail care, and hair care products.
The various cosmetic products based on kale extract.
Rich in vitamins, kale extract is particularly used in the formulation of moisturising face creams, nourishing masks, and make-up removers. It thus helps to combat premature skin ageing, eliminate impurities, and maintain the skin's suppleness and elasticity. It is also included in the formulation of nail and hair care products such as shampoos and hair masks. Kale extract contributes to stimulating keratin production and cellular regeneration.

Why should you use this product?
This treatment aids in regulating oxidative stress due to the active ingredients it contains. It intercepts environmental oxidising agents that result in skin damage and accelerated skin ageing, making it suitable for mitigating the harmful influences of daily external aggressions (sun, pollution, smoking, etc.) and delaying the onset of early signs of ageing. It provides great comfort to the skin, while protecting it from ageing signs related to external aggressions. Moreover, its light texture melts into the epidermis for quick absorption and hydration throughout the day.
The key ingredients?
Astaxanthin (INCI: Haematococcus Pluvialis Extract): 65 times superior to vitamin C, 54 times superior to beta-carotene, and 14 times superior to vitamin E, astaxanthin is a natural antioxidant recognised for its powerful, unique, and proven protective action. Thanks to its 13 conjugated polyunsaturated double bonds, it can neutralise free radicals, high-energy species.
Red Ginseng Extract (INCI: Panax Ginseng Root Extract): Due to its content of vitamins C and E, this compound provides protective and antioxidant properties to the skin. Indeed, it helps to inhibit lipid peroxidation, caused by free radicals, which are accelerators of cellular ageing. Additionally, its richness in ginsenosides gives it inhibitory properties on the expression of metalloproteinases, enzymes that degrade collagen, thereby protecting collagen fibres and demonstrating their relevance in the prevention of ageing effects.
Kale extract (INCI: Brassica Oleracea Acephala Leaf Extract): As an anti-radical ingredient, it strengthens and maintains the skin's antioxidant defence system to increase its resistance to oxidative stress. Indeed, it protects cells from oxidation to limit the impact of free radicals on the skin.
How to use this product?
The third step in your skincare routine, this fine and light cream is preferably applied in the morning. Indeed, it is particularly during the day that the skin is especially subjected to oxidative stress (pollution, UV, etc.). On clean and cleansed skin, a dab of product is enough to provide the skin with a real shield and protect it from daily aggressions. It is applied evenly over the entire face and neck using gentle circular movements. However, although it is rich in antioxidants, this emulsion does not contain UV filters and therefore cannot replace a sun care product.
Who could benefit from this product?
Although it is suitable for all skin types, our antioxidant face cream is particularly targeted at individuals living in urban areas, who are daily exposed to external aggressions, or those who are concerned about thenegative impact of pollution on the skin.
Note : The colour and scent of the antioxidant face cream come exclusively from its highly concentrated natural extracts.
