Why It Is Important To Moisturize Your Chest

The chest, which is often neglected, needs as much care as the face, hair, hands or even legs. This is because the chest is quite sensitive. The skin of the décolleté is very thin and sensitive. In addition, as we age, your chest is exposed to a variety of influences. That is why it is important to take care of it and moisturize it like the rest of the body. But why is it thus important to moisturize the chest? How can you take care of this area?

Why Should You Moisturize Your Chest?

Exposed to constant friction every day, stressed by the numerous hormonal phases (pregnancy, puberty, menopause, menstruation), compressed by a bra, repeated exposure to the sun, etc., negatively influence the skin of the décolleté and explain why it is often dry. In addition, the skin of the chest, a very thin and sensitive area, has no sebaceous glands. This means that it does not produce sebum, which is important to prevent moisture loss. This lack of moisture promotes loss of firmness, sagging of the skin and the appearance of a wrinkled décolleté, especially if you do not take correct care of your chest.

How To Take Care of the Chest?

First and foremost, you should perform a gentle exfoliation in the shower once a week to maintain a beautiful complexion, avoiding the nipples. This practice activates microcirculation and oxygenation of the cells. Of course, avoid exfoliating the décolleté too roughly, as this can weaken the skin.

After showering, dry your chest gently and apply a hazelnut-sized amount of body cream or moisturizing gel with aloe vera thickly. As you apply your moisturizer, massage your chest with gentle, circular motions from bottom to top. This massage stimulates blood circulation. Do this every morning and every evening. Since it is a sensitive area, the skin of the chest needs regular moisturizing.

During pregnancy, remember to take care of your chest and protect it from developing stretch marks. Stretch marks are like "breaks" that appear on the surface of the skin when the tissue is subjected to excessive stretching. Under the influence of hormones, the chest begins to grow from month to month, stretching the skin. To prevent this, you can use our stretch mark gel with baobab oil. In addition, this care helps to improve the appearance of the skin, providing elasticity and suppleness, especially thanks to the passion fruit oil and aloe vera juice.
