The Centella asiatica and liquorice extract to diminish the appearance of skin marks.
These two compounds contain saponosides, known for their brightening virtues:
The Centella asiatica contains madecassoside and asiaticoside. Several studies have demonstrated the benefits of these active ingredients in reducing stretch marks as well as scars and skin marks related, for example, to acne outbreaks or irritations.
The saponin effective in inhibiting the overproduction of melanin in liquorice extract is the glabridin. This molecule is often referred to as natural hydroquinone due to its pigment regulating properties. However, it has the advantage of being gentler and better tolerated by the skin than hydroquinine, which has been banned in all cosmetic products by European regulations since 2001 due to its carcinogenic potential.
In combination, these two compounds help to even out the skin tone and combat acne scars and pigmentation spots. You can find them in our anti-mark serums. This is applied in the evening, only to the affected areas.
Centella Asiatica and Niacinamide for soothing redness.
These two compounds aid in restoring the skin's barrier function and contribute to the healing process
On one hand, regarding the Centella asiatica, ithas been demonstrated that the plant's major compounds, asiaticoside and madecassoside, accelerate the healing processes, both in cases of deep wounds and superficial burns. They also significantly increasethe tensile strength of newly formed skin. The Centella asiatica can therefore be used to soothe sunburn and/or the redness that often accompanies acne flare-ups.
By stimulating lipid synthesis, niacinamide strengthens the hydrolipidic film, thereby enhancing the skin's barrier function. Its regenerative properties also stimulate the healing process. Particularly on atopic, sensitive, and irritated skin, niacinamide can reduce feelings of discomfort and inflammation.
To effectively combine these two compounds, only in the evening, you can cleanse your skin with the unifying cleansing gel enriched with niacinamide then apply our soothing toner. Finish your routine with our anti-mark serum to be applied only on the affected areas.
The Centella asiatica, glycolic acid, and vitamins A, E, and C are used to combat skin ageing.
An in vitro study conducted in 2014 concluded that the extract of Centella asiatica when combined in the same skincare product with glycolic acid and vitamins A, E and C, stimulated the synthesis of the extracellular matrix of collagen and fibronectin in human fibroblasts. Furthermore, no damage was caused to the cells and connective tissues. Therefore, this combination could be beneficial in combating the appearance of ageing signs (wrinkles, fine lines, sagging).
