Adipose Pockets (Fat Pockets)
Definition:
Swelling under the mobile eyelid, which is due to the presence of permanent fat pockets. With age, the periorbital fat mass shifts due to skin laxity and slides downwards under the effect of gravity. Initially, this fatty cushion serves to protect the eye from the bony walls.
