How to apply your body cream?

The skin is a fully-fledged organ that performs multiple functions. Enveloping the body, it protects the organism from external aggressions. Dehydrated and dry skin will struggle to fulfil its role effectively. That's why it's important to take care of it by regularly applying a cream to the body and doing so correctly. Focus.

Why should we apply a cream to the body?

A greasy film covers the surface of the epidermis to protect it from external aggressions. Indeed, between pollution, friction, seasonal changes, etc... the skin is constantly put to the test. In addition to this protective barrier role, the hydrolipidic film makes the skin less permeable and thus helps it to retain its hydration. Dehydrated skin also equates to the appearance of wrinkles and loss of elasticity.

Indeed, when you take a shower, the water rich in limestone and/or the cleansing product used promotes the removal of the hydrolipidic film. Consequently, after your bath, your skin is dry, rough and feels tight in certain areas. This is why it is necessary to hydrate it with a suitable cream after the drying stage. In fact, the use of a moisturising product will help to strengthen the skin's shield function, by supporting the hydrolipidic film. Its thin creamy layer applied will also limit the natural evaporation of water and therefore prevent your body from dehydrating. Result : Your skin regains comfort, suppleness, softness and brightness.

Which cream should be used for the body?

No matter what your skin type is, it requires care, especially if it is frequently exposed to temperature changes, pollution, wind, and so on. Therefore, ensure you choose a cream that suits your skin type. If you have normal, combination or oily skin, opt for a care product with a light and fluid texture. On the other hand, if you have dry skin, a nourishing balm would be more appropriate. It is essential to choose a cream that meets your needs to take the best care of your body. Our body moisturising cream is designed to hydrate all skin types, even sensitive ones. Although it is made from only 10 ingredients, this product deeply nourishes the epidermis due to its high content of unsaturated fatty acids from coconut oil, provides the necessary hydration with vegetable glycerin, thus limiting dehydration, leaves the skin supple and soft, avoiding discomfort and tightness, and easily penetrates the epidermis without leaving a greasy film and without sticking.

The correct techniques for applying your body cream.

For optimal effectiveness of the moisturising cream, it is crucial to firstexfoliate your skin, at a rate of once to twice a week, to rid it of all dead cells, focusing on the thicker areas (heels, knees and elbows). After your wash, take a dollop of body cream in the palm of your hand (the necessary amount to moisturise each part of your body) then warm the substance between your hands. Gently stretch the product over your clean and slightly damp body until the cream is fully absorbed.

Begin at the lower part of the body and gradually work your way up. Indeed, it is appropriate to start from the feet and move upwards towards the buttocks, making ascending movements from the ankles to the knees and from the thighs to the buttocks. As for the arms, it is advisable to start from the back of the hand, then move up to the shoulders. When you reach the stomach, buttocks or chest, perform gentle circular movements. Pay particular attention to areas of the body that tend to be drier, such as the legs due to repeated waxing and shaving, the knees, feet and elbows. This self-massage, at the time of applying your skincare product, will help to promote rapid absorption of the product and stimulate blood microcirculation.
