Can men and women use the same cosmetic skincare products?

Indeed, as there are skin concerns common to both sexes. Both men and women can have oily, dull, dry, dehydrated skin, with blemishes, etc... The response in terms of cosmetic care will involve the same molecule. In fact, on the market, what generally differentiates a moisturising cream targeted at men from its female counterpart is nothing more than the fragrance: woody, aromatic, fresh... for men and sweet, floral, cocooning... for women.

On the other hand, the evolution of the skin is indeed linked to gender and hormonal fluctuations, in addition to lifestyle. Testosterone is the male hormone that influences men's skin. Men have more facial hair than women. They also have skin that is 20 to 25% thicker than that of women.

The daily shaving of facial hair in men can sometimes lead to irritations, nicks, cuts, and ingrown hairs. Therefore, it is relevant for them to have access to gender-specific cosmetic products designed for their beards. Similarly, women may have skin issues related to their menstrual cycle or the period they are going through, such as menopause; cosmetic formulas specially designed for these concerns also provide interesting solutions.
