Botanical name: Pelargonium graveolens.
Extraction process: Distillation by steam water entrainment.
Family: Geraniaceae.
Part of the plant extracted: Leaves and stems.
Location: Africa (Morocco, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique).
Flowering: From May until the first morning frosts (usually in October).
Provenance, origin: Morocco.
Phytochemical composition: Citronellol, geraniol, linalool, citral (geranial + neral), limonene, citronellyl formate, isomenthone, 10-epi-gamma-eudesmol, guaia-6,9-diene, geranyl formate, geranyl butyrate, geranyl tiglate, menthone, (Z)-rose oxide, beta-phenylethyl tiglate, alpha-terpineol, (E)-rose oxide.
Sensorial properties: Appearance: Mobile liquid; Colour: Colourless; Odour: Fresh, rosy, reminiscent of the plant itself.
Physical characteristics: Density = 0.995 - 1.000; pH = 3.5 - 5.0; Soluble in any aqueous environment.
Benefits: Tonic, astringent, regenerative, anti-inflammatory, purifying, soothing.

Method of Preservation

6 months of preservation after opening. This product is sensitive and should be stored in the refrigerator. If you notice a change in appearance or smell, cease using your hydrosol.

The rose geranium hydrosol does not have any contraindications. It can be used by pregnant and/or breastfeeding women as well as children. Avoid contact with the eyes.
