Rose Geranium Hydrosol

Commonly known as:   Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Water (I.N.C.I.), Pelargonium Flower Water, Bourbon Geranium Floral Water, Pelargonium asperum, Pelargonium rosae, Scented Geranium.

Botanical name:   Pelargonium graveolens.

Extraction process:   Distillation by steam water entrainment.

Family:   Geraniaceae.

Extracted part of the plant:   Leaves and stems.

Cultivation area, origin:   Africa (Morocco, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique).

Blooming:   From May until the first morning frosts (usually in October).

Origin, provenance:   Morocco.

Phytochemical composition:   Citronellol, geraniol, linalool, citral (geranial + neral), limonene, citronellyl formate, isomenthone, 10-epi-gamma-eudesmol, guaia-6,9-diene, geranyl formate, geranyl butyrate, geranyl tiglate, menthone, (Z)-rose oxide, beta-phenylethyl tiglate, alpha-terpineol, (E)-rose oxide.

Sensory properties:   Appearance: Mobile liquid; Colour: Colourless; Odour: Fresh, rosy, reminiscent of the plant itself.

Physical properties:   Density = 0.995 - 1.000; pH = 3.5 - 5.0; Soluble in any aqueous environment.

Concerns:   Tonic, astringent, regenerative, anti-inflammatory, purifying, soothing.

Effect:   All skin types, particularly damaged, irritated, oily, acne-prone, combination, sensitive, and mature skin; All hair types, particularly oily hair, hair with dandruff, and irritated scalps; Recommended for the prevention and care of stretch marks.

Facial Care (creams, mists, serums, makeup removers, lotions); Hair Care (masks, shampoos, conditioners).

Method of Preservation

6 months of preservation after opening. This product is sensitive and should be stored in the refrigerator. If you notice a change in appearance or smell, cease using your hydrosol.

Contraindications, Usage Precautions

The rose geranium hydrosol does not have any contraindications. It can be used by pregnant and/or breastfeeding women as well as children. Avoid contact with the eyes.
