Can we use Typology face serums with dermaplaning, microneedling...?

Summary

The dermaplaning is a mechanical exfoliation method using a blade with the aim of removing dead cells as well as the facial fuzz. In order to avoid the risk of irritation, it is necessary to first apply a fatty substance such as a vegetable oil.

Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that involves puncturing the skin using sterile micro-needles. These needles generate a mechanical stimulation in the skin which promotes the production of elastin and collagen within the dermis. Furthermore, they deliver active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid or vitamins for instance into the superficial layers of the dermis.

In both of these contexts, our serums are therefore not suitable for these uses.

Note : it is preferable to perform these two cosmetic techniques with a health professional.
