Details

Properties

  • Hair Conditioner: Preventing the deterioration of the hair fibre by constructing a protective polysaccharide matrix on the surface of the hair;

  • Filmogenic Protective Layer: The aim is to minimise the penetration of pro-oxidant stress factors (such as atmospheric and domestic pollution, smoking, etc.) into the skin, which are linked to premature ageing. This is achieved by limiting the risk of biological damage through the formation of a non-occlusive adherent biofilm, which acts as a "second skin" on the surface of the epidermis. This not only provides protection but also imparts a soft and comfortable sensation;

  • Moisturiser: Keeping the skin hydrated and providing long-lasting hydration to the skin by creating a protective physical film on the surface of the epidermis, minimising transepidermal water loss.

Applications

  • Facial Care (facial serums, face creams, face masks, sun care products);

  • Body Care (Hand creams);

  • Haircare (shampoos, hair serums);

  • Makeups (foundations, primer bases).

Method of Preservation

Store in a dry place, shielded from direct sunlight, air, heat, and humidity.

Contraindications, Usage Precautions

The biosaccharide gum-4 appears to be safe for topical application and well tolerated by all skin types.

Find out more

The biosaccharide gum-4 is a high molecular weight anionic polysaccharide. It is a branched and deacetylated polymer, composed of repetitive units of one L-fucose, two D-glucose, and one glucuronic acid, linked together by glycosidic bonds.
