Botanical name:   Pistacia vera.

Extraction process:   First cold pressing.

Family:   Anacardiaceae.

Extracted part of the plant:   Fruits.

Cultivation area, origin:   Originally from the arid regions of the Middle East, it is now cultivated in Central Asia, Italy, Spain, North Africa, China, the United States, and Australia.

Blooming:   From April to June.

Origin, provenance:   United States, Iran.

Phytochemical composition:   Polyunsaturated fatty acids (linolenic acid, linoleic acid), monounsaturated fatty acids (oleic acid), saturated fatty acids (palmitic acid), vitamin E.

Sensory properties:   Appearance: Liquid; Colour: Green; Odour: Characteristic.

Physical properties:   Density = 0.912 - 0.915.

Concerns:   Nourishing, softening, hydrating, toning, antioxidant.

Effect:   All skin types, particularly dry skin; All hair types.
