Pepper is one of the most widely used spices in Europe today. It comes from the pepper plant, a climbing tree that can grow several metres high. The berries are harvested, then fermented and dried to produce the famous pepper, considered as 'black gold' in the Middle Ages. When applied topically, black pepper essential oil is invigorating and can help reduce the appearance of cellulite or prepare the muscles for physical exertion.
