Plant extract from strawberry leaves.

Commonly known as:   Fragaria Vesca (Strawberry) Leaf Extract (I.N.C.I.), Wild Strawberry, Woodland Strawberry, Indigenous Strawberry.

Botanical name:   Fragaria vesca.

Extraction process:   Solid/liquid extraction of crushed strawberry leaves in a hydro-ethanolic mixture. The filtrate is then dried by atomisation.

Family:   Rosacea.

Extracted part of the plant:   Leaves.

Cultivation area, origin:   Originally from Asia (China and Turkey) and North America. Today, it can also be found in Europe, particularly in France.

Blooming:   From May to July.

Origin, provenance:   Eastern Europe.

Phytochemical composition:   Flavonoids (quercetin), tannins, polyphenols.

Sensory properties:   Appearance: Fine powder; Colour: Brown; Odour: Mild.

Physical properties:   Recommended percentage: 0.5%; Soluble in aqueous phase.

Concerns:   Antioxidant, astringent, toning, unifying, brightening/depigmenting.

Effect:   All skin types, particularly dull skin, mature skin, oily skin (with enlarged pores), and skin with more pigmented areas (pigmentation spots); All hair types, especially dry, damaged, and dull hair.

Store at room temperature, protected from light, heat and humidity.
