Origin: Synthetic.

Concentration allowed by European regulations : Up to 0.5% as secondary amine in finished cosmetic products.

Where to find it / them? : Hair dyes, shampoos, shaving creams, washing creams, mascaras, conditioners, face creams, liquid hand soaps.

Risks to health: Suspected reprotoxic, potential allergen, potential skin irritant, potential carcinogen in the presence of nitrite (formation of nitrosamines).

Risks to the environment : Aquatic ecotoxicity.
