INCI name:   Cyclotetrasiloxane.

Function:   Emollient, hair conditioner, skin care agent, solvent.

Origin:   Synthetic.

Concentration allowed by the EU regulation:   Up to 0.1% in water rinsable cosmetic products. However, in such concentrations, it will not be able to exert their planned action.

Where to find it / Where they are found?:   Conditioners, BB creams, CC creams, shampoos, deodorants, hair serums, face serums, face creams, foundations, lipsticks, face creams, hair mists, lip glosses, sunscreens, hair lotions/gels, shampoos, eye creams.

Health risks:   Suspected endocrine disruptor, suspected reprotoxic.

Environmental risks:   Bioaccumulative, persistent, aquatic ecotoxicity.
