Commonly known as: Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Oil (I.N.C.I.), Arabian Coffee Plant.

Botanical name: Coffea arabica.

Extraction process: Extraction from roasted coffee seeds through cold pressing.

Family: Rubiaceae.

Extracted part of the plant: Seeds.

Cultivation area, origin: Originating from Ethiopia, it is primarily found on high-altitude lands (200 to 2,000 metres above sea level) in tropical regions such as Brazil or Colombia.

Blooming: In summer.

Origin, provenance: Brazil, Colombia.

Phytochemical composition: Phytosterols, antioxidants.

Sensory properties: Appearance: Solid; Colour: Pale brown; Odour: Characteristic of roasted coffee.

Physical properties: Density: 0.920 - 0.925 g/cm3; Melting point: 42 - 50°C.

Concerns: Decongestant, vascular toning, anti-inflammatory, soothing, revitalising, nourishing, softening, protective.

Effect: All skin types, particularly dull and dry skin; All hair types, especially dry, brittle and damaged hair; Recommended to help prevent or reduce the appearance of stretch marks, under-eye bags and cellulite.

Method of Preservation

Store in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep away from heat and light, and maintain at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.

To extend the shelf life of coffee butter, a hydrogenated oil, that is, containing unsaturated fatty acids that have undergone a partial hydrogenation process, and tocopherol have been added to the mixture.
