Vegetable Coffee Butter

Commonly known as: Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Oil (I.N.C.I.), Arabian Coffee Plant.
Botanical name: Coffea arabica.
Extraction process: Extraction from roasted coffee seeds through cold pressing.
Family: Rubiaceae.
Part of the plant extracted: Seeds.
Location: Originating from Ethiopia, it is primarily found on high-altitude lands (200 to 2,000 metres above sea level) in tropical regions such as Brazil or Colombia.
Flowering: In summer.
Provenance, origin: Brazil, Colombia.
Phytochemical composition: Phytosterols, antioxidants.
Sensorial properties: Appearance: Solid; Colour: Pale brown; Odour: Characteristic of roasted coffee.
Physical characteristics: Density: 0.920 - 0.925 g/cm3; Melting point: 42 - 50°C.
Benefits: Decongestant, vascular toning, anti-inflammatory, soothing, revitalising, nourishing, softening, protective.
Concerns: All skin types, particularly dull and dry skin; All hair types, especially dry, brittle and damaged hair; Recommended to help prevent or reduce the appearance of stretch marks, under-eye bags and cellulite.

Usage

  • Body Care (massage balms, body creams, exfoliants);

  • Haircare (hair masks).

Method of Preservation

Store in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep away from heat and light, and maintain at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.

To extend the shelf life of coffee butter, a hydrogenated oil, that is, containing unsaturated fatty acids that have undergone a partial hydrogenation process, and tocopherol have been added to the mixture.

Contraindications, Usage Precautions

Coffee butter is not classified as dangerous. However, it may cause temporary eye irritation.
