Commonly known as: Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Water (I.N.C.I.).
Botanical name: Cymbopogon schoenanthus.
Extraction process: Distillation by steam stripping.
Family: Grasses

Flowering: No flowering, sterile plant.

Sensorial properties: Appearance: Mobile liquid; Colour: Colourless to whitish; Odour: Herbaceous, warm.

Benefits: Anti-bacterial, astringent, unifying, purifying, soothing, sebum-regulating, toning.

Facial Care (toners, floral waters); Hair Care (scalp serum, masks, lotions).

Means of Preservation

6 months of preservation after opening. This product is sensitive and should be stored in the refrigerator. If you notice a change in appearance or smell, cease using your hydrosol.

Contraindications, Usage Precautions

Lemongrass hydrosol does not have any contraindications. It can be used by pregnant and/or breastfeeding women as well as children. Avoid contact with the eyes.

Lemongrass hydrosol is known for its antibacterial virtues. Rich in monoterpenols, molecules with antibacterial activity, lemongrass hydrosol is renowned for its sanitising action on the skin. Moreover, its acidic pH helps to reduce pore size. It is therefore particularly recommended for acne-prone skin to prevent the appearance of blackheads and comedones.
