Function:   Antistatic, emollient, emulsifying agent, hair conditioner, skin conditioning agent, surfactant, fixative, film-forming agent, foam booster, cleansing agent, emulsifier.

Origin:   Animal.

Concentration allowed by the EU regulation:   Unregulated.

Where to find it / Where they are found?:   Facial creams, lip balms/creams, body lotions, foot moisturisers, lipsticks, scrubs, hair waxes, compact powders, eyeshadows, tinted lip waters; conditioners, mascaras, shampoos.

Health risks:   Potential allergen.

Environmental risks:   Non-vegan (obtained through the purification and refinement of suint, the fatty substance adsorbed onto wool).
