INCI name:   Cyclomethicone.

Function:   Antistatic, emollient, hair conditioner, humectant, skin care agent, solvent, viscosity control agent.

Origin:   Synthetic.

Concentration allowed by the EU regulation:   Up to 0.1% in water rinsable cosmetic products. However, in such concentrations, it will no longer be able to exert its intended action.

Where to find it / Where they are found?:   Deodorants, hair oils, tonic lotions, self-tanning gels.

Health risks:   Suspected endocrine disruptor.

Environmental risks:   Bioaccumulative substance.
