Origin:   Animal-derived, synthetic.

Concentration allowed by the EU regulation:   Unregulated.

Where to find it / Where they are found?:   Face masks, eye contour creams, facial creams, sun care products, foundations, shampoos, conditioners, cleansing treatments, deodorants, body balms/creams/lotions, hand creams, makeup removers, facial cleansers, beard care products.

Environmental risks:   Non-vegan (derived from pig or cow fats through saponification), manufacturing process is polluting (obtained through the synthesis of petrochemical derivatives).

Alternative :   Glycérine extraite à partir d'huiles d'origine végétale (colza, maïs, tournesol, palme, soja, coco, olive, lin, palmiste...).

Additional information:   Also used as a food additive (E422). The INCI name provides no information about the source of the glycerine. Therefore, it is necessary to contact the manufacturer to determine its origin.
